What we've been up to

It's been an awfully long time since my last post, and while I have a few ideas for some more meaningful posts brewing, a simple post will have to due for today.

Here's what we've been up to:
*I braved fabricland with the three kiddos.  They had some incredible deals on this past week, culminating to a 50% off the whole store on thurs, fri and sat.  I've been eyeing up some fabric to make some drapes (for when I get the courage up to make-over our bedroom) so it was a perfect time to pick up the fabric. And the three kiddos did amazing in the store (with lots of mum mums and the ipod).

Junebugs Nursing Covers meets Everything for Babies in Alliston

A few weeks ago, I nervously stepped into Everything for Babies in Alliston, to present my nursing covers to them.  When I walked into this cute baby store, calming music played in the background and a pleasant lady greeted me.

I introduced her to my nursing covers, and explained the unique features of our covers; the stiff boning in the neckline, wider width then most covers and sewn in pocket for easy storing. She mentioned that she liked the product and that she would review it with her colleagues. We then continued to talk about the life with twins, as her daughter also has twins.  I left the store, said a prayer and headed home. A few weeks later, here we are, with junebugs nursing covers happily resting on the shelves of the Everything for Babies store in Alliston. I'm very excited about this new relationship, and can't wait to see what the future has to bring for us.

Check out the Everything for babies store soon.  You're sure to be just as charmed with it as I was.  Also, 'like' their facebook page, for updates on sales and specials.  Hey, while you're over on facebook, would you consider 'liking' junebugs as well?

Hot Summer Farm Fun

Dorothy was so right when she said that "there is no place like home".  There truly isn't anything like it.  It's cozy, it's comfortable, it's messy sometimes, but it's lived in and loved and it's our home.  As much as I loved visiting with mom, while Dale was away, I also loved coming home.  Don't get me wrong, we were very well taken care of.  Meals were made, naps were welcomed, I was sent out for a little trip into town solo mia, and sent home with mostly all clean clothes. *Sidenote: This just makes unpacking so much easier, I loath unpacking.  To prove it, When we came home from our Chapman Family Special Trip, I waited 1.5 weeks to unpack that rolling bag.  Did I mention I detest unpacking? Back to the subject...I treasured my time with my folks.  However, there were a few points when Levi would terribly misbehave and throw tantrums, or the girls wouldn't sleep until the wee hours of the morning, that I wished I was wearing those magical red shoes, and could click my way home too.

Making Memories

As I type this, I'm sitting at my parents house, in the chair that I used to write all my university essays in, typing on the old keyboard, with it's all familiar clicking sound.  I'm back at my folks house for a few days whilst the hubby is out camping with some man friends from his small group.

We're making memories this weekend. Celebrating the fun times in life, because they are worth celebrating, and because we have been given some incredible gifts from God.

Catching up and Exciting Announcement!

I've been focusing on a lot of sewing lately, and haven't made much time to post, since my fingers have been busy pushing fabric through the sewing machine, and my mind wrapped up in new designs and ideas.  I'm excited to announce that I will be having a booth at Kempenfest this year.  I'll be sharing the booth with the creative Angie Armstrong from ARA Gifts.  We are both just a tad enthused about the idea of having a booth at the show, and for July will be madly creating and sewing our little hands off until that first weekend in August rolls around.  You'll have to wait until the show, to see the new products that I'll be releasing...so until then, I shall keep you in suspense (I'm sure you are holding your breath as you read this!).
